My Experience in The Polytechnic Ibadan
Hello here again, cheers to a brand new month. Here's another episode about me. Well it's actually about my experience as a student of Omololu Olunloyo Polytechnic Ibadan formerly known as The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
Where should I begin o cos the tori long no be small 🤔🤔 was it when I gained admission into the school for my OND program, where we all did temple run for our dear lives from the gbas gbos of the elegbon polytes abi is it now that I'm currently running my HND program I should discussed on ni bayi? Anyways, grab a chair and chinchin or 🍿 whichever one suit your palate.
So you see eh, after the admission process, we're ought to attend class as good student should do, although, I have this mindset and imagination about the class system which is to seat at the front line and have it as a permanent position just like we do in secondary Schools, go in the morning and return afternoon. But here's the shocker, the timetable was scheduled to start by 12 noon till evening. 😲 I swear I didn't see that coming shaa, so I was usually at home all morning and by noon... I mean in that hot sun is when daughter of man will began receiving lectures. I was pained, but the excitement in me wouldn't let me groan in pain. I thought that was all o, not knowing that we have to push and struggle before receiving lectures, me that don't have big body to stand was pushed aside, nearly lost one of my shoe as I scurried inside the class sweating like Christmas goat, my departmental wear got stained at some point. It was a tug of war with the other department we share the same class to receive lectures. Those public administration students eh can be annoying, they intentionally refuse to go out of the class after their lectures is over, so most times led to war between us. Omo the act continue till we finished first semester.
Moving on, the campus life in me has been fully activated to the extent I can now join to push and fight my way to the front seat cos those back seat is not for school one like me. 😏😏 So one particular afternoon, we were jejely receiving one course lidat fully engrossed in what the man was saying when we heard a loud gunshot from nowhere 🙊🙊 before I say jack another gunshot erupted along with screams from other students. Instantly, everybody frantically began packing and jumping from one table to another to go out while those outside were running in, everything just collided like January 27 bomblast. The lecturer gan self yaff japa before the second gunshot. The guys involved in that act were masked up chasing after another guys while we run for our dear lives. How I return to the hostel was unexplainable, it was a shocking experience for me. It was later that evening, I logged in to the class platform, I learned that some of our course mate lost some of their belongings along the commotion, so the executives from ND 2 briefly oriented us the incident known as TEMPLE RUN. We were advised not to lose guide and also prepare for any inconveniences that may likely happen in the campus.
Lemme pend it here for now, I will share the rest of the experience later. Enjoy this. Don't ever forget that this user loves you.
